Translation into Brazilian Portuguese and transcultural adaptation of the Apraxia of Speech Rating Scale 3.5

ABSTRACT Purpose To present the translation into Brazilian Portuguese and cross-cultural adaptation of Apraxia Speech Rating Scale (ASRS) version 3.5. Methods Validation study restricted to adaptation. The following steps were carried out: synthesis translations; verification applicability scale by judges recruited for this purpose; analysis relevance feasibility calculated Content Validity Index (CVI), individual (CVI-I) total (CVI-T). Eighteen speech therapists selected. Their answers used agreement (intraclass correlation coefficients - ICC) calculation (CVI). Finally, was matched in terms semantic, idiomatic, experiential, conceptual, syntactic, grammatical, operational equivalence. Results ICC ranged between 0.83 0.94. Six items obtained values higher than 0.9. other presented 0.8 CVI-I CVI-T had excellent (CVI ≥ 0.78) feasibility. Conclusion ASRS 3.5 presents syntactic/grammatical equivalence original document. Thus, it is ready next validation steps.
